Rehoboth Beach House Bathroom Makeover

This bathroom had a good start but with pastel glass tiles on the shower wall it definitely deserved better.  We went with a 'dark and stormy' ceramic tile wall to contrast with the existing tumbled pink stone flooring in the shower and bath. We lime washed the walls a stoneware white which was a better match with the pink tiles than the existing pale blue. The vanity had chrome hardware and fixtures so we updated that with black and removed the dated backsplash. Adding a new mirror made the bath feel so much bigger. We updated the lighting, painted the boring tall kitchen style cabinet taupe and added the spa like bench.  We decided to paint the beam to connect to the dark grey beams downstairs. The icing on the cake was the gorgeous vintage rug, the driftwood 'sculpture' above the toilet and vintage painting I scored at a little beach shop. This is now a Mediterranean makeover the owners can't wait to visit! Take a look at the before and after here on the blog.
