Franklin Street Wins at Baltimore Magazine Home & Design Awards!

We're a little shy about victories over here, but we gotta shout it this time! Our Franklin Street project just won a Baltimore Magazine Home & Design Award for Open Floor Plan—and we couldn’t be more psyched!​

This was a dream transformation. The 2,000-square-foot third floor of an 1860s Mt. Vernon townhome started as a completely blank slate—white walls, no design scheme yet, just soaring ceilings and an old elevator in the center of it all. The clients started making headway with the renovation, but came to me after feeling a little stuck in design direction. We we're able to work together to make this dream come alive.

Best Interior Design!

I was incredibly lucky to have spent half of my twenties and most of my thirties working in the advertising department at the legendary City Paper in Baltimore. I met people I will know for the rest of my life—we worked hard & played harder—especially in September, when we put out the biggest issue of the year, the Best of Baltimore.
Sadly, City Paper is long gone, but I have fond memories of how much fun it was to tell clients when they won a Best Of award. I never thought all these years later that I would win one too, much less Best Interior Design! I am so grateful to have found my calling and purpose in creating beautiful and meaningful spaces for people in this chapter of my life. These days are dreamy and creative but I’m definitely working harder than ever (and loving every minute of it), so we are humbled and grateful to have our work recognized and valued in such a profound way. We love Baltimore and have called this city home for over 30 years, so this is just the biggest hug ever—thanks Baltimore Magazine!

If you live in the Guilford neighborhood of Baltimore, you just might have seen us on the cover of this month’s STROLL magazine! We are so honored to be featured in STROLL’s ‘Meet Your Neighbors’ spread, shot by super talented photographer Shayna Hardy, the photos are so fun and feel like they really captured 'us'! STROLL is a nationally formatted, local magazine serving the Guilford neighborhood and we love this neighborhood so much. This will be our thirteenth year in Guilford and our home has become our solace. We feel so grateful to be able to live, work and play here everyday.​

I recently had the good fortune to be asked to creative direct and style a six page entertaining spread for Baltimore Magazine! I mean, I can't think of a client objective that's more in my wheelhouse than 'make a bunch of food, make it pretty and invite people over...' Yes, please.
The article is called "The Party is the People: How to use your friends, in the best way possible, to throw the most epic of holiday parties."I think the idea is that in our friends group, especially with old friends getting together for the holidays, we all bring something to the table. Because of recent events, the act of simply getting together is now a gift and a celebration.
